Filmed on the Cuillins of Skye, four Gaelic speaking adolescents (three girls and one boy) try to traverse the full ridge over four days. Climbing  from the beautiful and remote Loch Coruisk they strenuously climb to the ridge but poor weather hampers their progress.

'MOUNTAIN: Life at the Extreme'- BBC Natural History Unit

A dramatic climb on the 5325m Sphynx (Esfinge) in the heart of the Cordillera Blanca, Peru. The difficult rock climb on the perfect vertical 800 m granite cliff in the Andes was completed over a three week period by Venezualan climbers Ivan and Frederico for a forthcoming BBC programme on the Andes. 
Base camp was established at 4400 m above the Peron Valley with the Huandoy Peaks directly opposite.
Difficult and strenuous rigging at high altitude had to be completed to allow for spectacular footage to be taken of the ascent of the Original (1985) Route.

Entertaining a delegation of US business executives visiting New Zealand as part of the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA). Hosted at the Kawarau Bridge A J Hackett Bungy Centre, Queenstown, New Zealand. Rigging and safety of 'trapeze' type rings for a group of dancers from 'FLAME' who entertained the guests.

HELLUVA TOUR - Channel 4

One van, four strangers and one hell of a drive from the UK to Australia. Weird customs, eye-watering challenges and a lot of breakdowns await. Steve, Priscilla, Jammie and John drive an old Bedford van across Europe, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Thailand to final reach Melbourne, Australia on a Channel 4 comedy-reality extravaganza sponsored by Fosters.
In episode 6 they encounter 'the most dangerous trek in the world' as they climb and traverse the spectacular 'via ferrata' in the beautiful granite Hua mountains above Huashan (Huayin), Shaanxi province in central China.

BBC1 'ONE SHOW' - THE LEAP OF FAITH


Screened on the popular early evening 'The One Show', this spectacular challenge 25 m high above the BBC HQ piazza at Portland Place, London was created by Film and Mountain. Presenters Alex Jones and Matt Baker, together with 'Prized Apart' presenter Emma Willis were challenged to take the 'Leap of Faith' similar to that filmed earlier in the year in Morocco for Prized Apart. Using a Cherry Picker hoist with a specially constructed gangplank, they attempted to balance out to a trapeze just out of reach. Then jump for the trapeze and hang as long as possible before falling a gut wrenching 5 m onto a safety rope.

PRIZED APART

A new BBC 1 Saturday evening 'challenge' show presented by Emma Willis and Reggie Yates and filmed over two months at numerous spectactular locations within Morocco. These included the Cascade Ouzoud, Merzouga Sahara sand dunes, Barrage El Mansour near Quarzazate, Fez medina, Terre d'Amanar adventure park, Lake Lalla and Friouato Cave near Taza. 
Challenges were conceived, designed and rigged and then safely operated. These included canyon swings, helicopter jumps, waterfall abseils, 'leaps of faith', dam wall pendulum games and zip wire magic carpets!

ALEX AGAINST THE ROCK

Over three days Alex Jones, from the BBC One Show, climbed the 1200' high Moonlight Buttress in the Zion National Park, Utah, USA and raised £1.5 million for the charity 'Sport Relief'. British Big Wall climbing expert and stand-up comic Andy Kirkpatrick led the climb. A series of short pieces were made to show on the One Show throughout the climb including a live broadcast when Alex reached the top and then a 30 minute feature to celebrate the ascent. Film and Mountain provided the climbing logistics, rigging and safety.

EVEREST .. the feature film

In May 1996 eight people were caught in a blizzard and died on Mount Everest during summit attempts. In the entire season, fifteen people died trying to reach the summit, making it the deadliest year in Mount Everest's history until the 2014 avalanche. The disaster gained wide publicity and raised questions about the commercialization of Everest. A number of books have described and anlaysed the events including Jon Krakauer's famous book 'Into thin Air' and Anatoli Boukreev's 'The Climb: Tragic Ambitions on Everest'.
In the winter of 2014 the production company 'Working Titles' and 'Universal Pictures' are shooting a feature film based on the events surrounding the '96 tragedy staring Jake Gyllenhaal, Josh Brolin, Sam Worthington, Josh Brolin, Jason Clarke, Robin Wright, Clive Standen (see IMDb for full list). 

Filmed on location on Everest and Maso Corto, Tyrol, Italy and studios in Rome and Pinewood. Release in 2015.

LUZZONE DAM .. Blue Peter - Radzi's climb


An amazing climb up the Luzzone hydro-electric dam wall in Switzerland. The climb is 165 m (540 ft) long and uses 650 artificial holds and is the biggest man-made climb in the world. The ascent was filmed for CBBC Blue Peter when guide Libby Peter and presenter Radzi completed the spectacular 5 pitch route (graded 5, 5+, 6a, 6a+, 6a+).

SHETLAND CLIMB .. Adventure Show BBC 2 Scotland

Filming climbing on the Eshaness Lighthouse sea cliffs on west coast of the Shetland Islands, Scotland. The rock is a very unusual volcanic breccia (lava conglomerate) and the routes look very spectacular. Local activist Al Whitworth and presenter / climber Deziree Wilson climbed 'Perfect Groove' VS and 'Rocking Horse Ridge' HVS for BBC 2 Scotland's popular Adventure Show. Also filming on the National Nature Reserve of the Island of Noss.

OLD MAN OF HOY .. The One Show BBC 1

The 'Old Man of Hoy' is regarded as the ultimate adventure climb in the UK and was first climbed by Chris Bonington, Rustie Baillie and Tom Patey in 1966. A year later it was the scene of the epic BBC Outdoor Broadcast.
To celebrate Sir Chris Bonington's 80th birthday the BBC One Show and Berghaus filmed an ascent by Chris, Leo Houlding and Andy Torbet. Despite poor weather in Orkney the three reached the top of the 137 m, five pitch climb sea stack. Well done and happy birthday Chris!

GRITSTONE 24 HOUR CHALLENGE .. Randall & Whittaker for Casio GShock


UK rock climbers Tom Randall and Pete Whittaker climbed all the Brown / Whillans routes on Eastern and Western (Derbyshire / Staffordshire) gritstone edges in a day. Over 130 routes up to E6 6c and 23.6 miles of running (plus a lot of driving) between 17 crags in 22 hrs 36 mins in a record breaking monster day out. Watch the film HERE
