Film & Mountain work with helicopters to get film crews
to dramatic locations. In Chamonix they have a high level
of expertise and this production required a drop off on
the very top of the Grepon with 500 m drops on all sides!

It's a crazy world! Not only is it a challenge
to climb the Sandstone towers in the Czech Republic
but also to jump between them. Extreme sports filmed
for "Wild Climbs".
|
|
| |
|
"Wild Climbs" involved the most
extreme climbing in the sexy locations and took over
6 months to plan and shoot. Film & Mountain found the locations
and climbers, rigged and provided the safety and shot
second camera in difficult cliff locations.
|
|
| |
|
We have had a long association with LWT's "Don't try this at home". Helping to devise
challenges, rig and organise safety. Here a network of
rope challenges including a 150 m "death slide" are
rigged in Vivian slate quarry, N Wales.

- LWT Long running battle game show. Film & Mountain worked on every series! |
|
|
| |
|
Famous for the near death epic of an army
group, Lowe's Gully remained one of the few remaining
unexplored parts of the world. Deep in the Borneo jungle
it took a crack caving and climbing team to descend the
canyon over 6 days filmed by a 3 man crew (Mark Diggins
and Brian Hall from Film & Mountain and Duncan McCallum
on camera).
|
|
| |
|
Film & Mountain worked on every series of LWT's "Gladiators".

on BBC2
|
|
| |
|
Joe Simpson powers up the final part of a challenging
climb in the Cederberg mountains of South Africa as part
of "The Face" series.
|
|
| |
|
Canada has some of the remotest locations
on the planet and the huge rock wall of "The cirque
of the unclimbables" was only accessible by a difficult
float plane and helicopter journey. A base camp was built
and the crew had to be self sufficient for the 3 week
stay. Filmed as part of "The Face".
|
|

| "Widerness

Triple
Echo for BBC 2 Popular 6 part walking series. |
| |
Winter
crossing of Baffin Is, Canada on dog sleds |
|
| |
|
Crossing Baffin Island on dog sled in winter
is a big challenge, filming it an even bigger one! Minus
40 C and the super 16 film and Aarton were having trouble
but so were the team. Any skin exposed would get frostbite
and hypothermia was a real danger. Filmed for "Wilderness
Walks".

| "The Climbers" traced
the history of mountaineering and was fronted by
Sir Chris Bonington, seen here descending from the
Grepon, high above Chamonix, France. The day had
been spent recreating a Victorian ascent in replica
gear. Access was by helicopter but it did not come
to pick us up due to bad weather so had to implement
the emergency back-up plan and we spent the night
getting down!
